Dark Organic Maple Syrup
What is maple syrup?
Maple syrup is made by tapping and boiling down the sap from the sugar maple. The sap contains a small amount of sugar. A normally sized sugar maple produces approximately 40 liters of sap annually, which is enough to produce about 1 liter of maple syrup.
Maple syrup receives different grades when it is finished boiling, depending on how much it has been boiled down. The longer the boiling, the more concentrated the flavor and the darker the color.
A sugar maple can grow up to 30 meters tall and 12 meters, and is found in North America.
